This April maternity session was fantastic! I loved, loved the lighting she got for her shoot. Since the trees hadn't filled in yet, we got all the golden sun shining through, and it felt enhanced reflecting off the river as well! We wouldn't have had any of that in the full green trees of summer, so April turned out the be the perfect time for this shoot. I couldn't believe this mom - she was only a week or two away from delivering and yet she was able to sit, stand, walk, lean, and pose with shocking ease and grace. She was a marvel! Another component of this shoot that worked wonderfully was the color palette. The sky was more golden, the trees brown, the grass green, her dress white and blue, meaning that they viewer's eye is happily roaming over the entire image taking in many different colors rather than things feeling too matchy-matchy.
