Is there anything as exciting as announcing a pregnancy to your loved ones? I was beyond thrilled when my client reached out wanting a few photos to celebrate the good news. Not only are you telling your family and friends, but you will show these photos to your child one day! They'll know how excited you were from the very beginning to welcome them into the world. Since it was still April at the time of this shoot and the trees hadn't filled in with green yet, we decided to do a lace backdrop. I thought it would be feminine, sweet, dreamy, and soft. But, I was worried about it looking too plain to just use one type of lace, so I got three panels for more variation. It kept the background interesting, but not overwhelming from the subject. The photos came out light and airy, and this gorgeous mama's hair really popped against the white fabric. She also brought amazing props along with her - ultrasound photos, a letter board, her pregnancy test stick, a onesie, little socks and a teddy bear...all these things make your session more customized. More you! I highly recommend incorporating things that are personalized and unique. It's worth it!
